Our sincere thanks to Dr. Rebecca Fraser from the University of East Anglia for a really engaging lecture on Tuesday night! All of the available seats had been booked by the afternoon (our first full house!), and the question and answer session at the end raised some interesting points about how historians approach letters as historical documents, especially in an age when traditional letter writing is becoming increasingly obsolete.
The next lecture in our series will be on Tuesday 22nd November, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Professor Yvonne Tasker from the School of Film and Television Studies at the University of East Anglia will be giving a talk called “Recruitment and Containment: Hollywood Celebrates Military Women in World War II,” based on research from her new book. The event is free, but space is limited, so contact us to reserve a seat: 01603 774747 or firstname.lastname@example.org
