Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Hopefully you’ve seen our tissue paper turkey by now, but have you seen us in today’s Eastern Daily Press? The excellent feature on page 30 illuminates the very “special relationship” between Norfolk and North America, highlighting such figures as Abraham Lincoln, Pocahontas, and Glenn Miller, among others!

The article appears ahead of Norfolk County Council’s exciting, ambitious new project, the Norfolk American Trail. From the 6th of July to Thanksgiving next year, the Trail will offer a huge variety of cultural events meant to celebrate our trans-Atlantic bond. We at the Memorial Library consider this is a very exciting project indeed: be sure to stay tuned in the coming months for details.

In the meantime, pop in today for Thanksgiving recipes and history, and do pick up a copy of the EDP!
