“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” –Mark Twain
Good old Mr. Twain. These days, sadly, it’s easier to dream about distant travels than to get time off from work. Dreaming is also cheaper. But when (not if) you are indeed ready and able to explore North America, why not begin the journey in our Library?
We have an extensive collection of tour guides and books pertaining to each of the United States, national parks, and scenic regions, as well as guides to theme parks, major cities, and specialised guides for children, hikers, eaters, thrill-seekers, history buffs, motorists, and more.
We update our travel collection from time to time in order to offer the most up-to-date volumes we can. Recently while sorting through some of the older books, we spotted this relic in the pages of Lonely Planet: Boston 2009: a Boston subway ticket! We were very happy to see that our collection offered someone a practical, take-along guide to the fantastic Boston area. Please follow suit next time you venture into the thrilling North American unknown!
