Last month, the First Lady (who was “across the pond” for the Olympic ceremonies) visited with American families based at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk. The base was opened by King George V in 1935 and has had a permanent United States Air Force presence since 1950. Today, Mildenhall is home to the 100th Air Refueling Wing.

The BBC has uploaded a brief video of the First Lady’s visit: check it out here!
