Oral History Volunteers Required

There will be a free oral history training day at the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library in the Millennium Library, The Forum, Norwich, NR2 1AW on Saturday 31 January, 2015 from 10 am – 1 pm.

Have you ever wanted to find out more about the lives of the people who live down your street? Do you want to help record their stories for future generations?

If so, The Eight in the East, in partnership with the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library and Norfolk Record Office, have an oral history training opportunity you can’t afford to miss!

We need good listeners of all ages to help us record the testimonies of the people who were witnesses to the 8th USAAF in East Anglia in the Second World War.

We’ll take you through each stage of the process and provide you with all the training you’ll need to get started including an introduction to interviewing and transcribing techniques.

To book your place please contact the 2nd Air Division Memorial Library on:

Or email at: 2admemorial.lib@norfolk.gov.uk
